As a participant of the United Nations Global Compact initiative, we are committed to strategically anchoring the Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption and supporting the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals address all dimensions of sustainability equally – the environment, social, and governance. They thus ensure a holistic approach, which also fits our understanding of effective sustainability.

Certifications and Accreditations

We rely on internationally recognized frameworks, standards, and certifications. In this way, we give ourselves and our stakeholders guidance to assess the quality and progress of our own sustainability work. Here is an insight into our certifications and accreditations at company level:

d&b audiotechnik puts its remanufacturing process as part of the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program to the test with BSI Kitemark certification. This certificate ensures that remanufacturing is carried out in accordance with internationally recognized remanufacturing standards such as BS 8887.

EMAS Validation

Since 2013, d&b audiotechnik´s environmental management system at the Backnang site has been validated according to EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) and ISO 14001.

d&b audiotechnik has been a member of the WIN Charter initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg since 2018. As part of the WIN Charter certification process, we commit ourselves annually to further improving our sustainability performance.

Code of Conduct

The d&b Code of Conduct defines general standards for the activity and conduct of the company and its co‑workers from a business, legal, and ethical perspective and is the mandatory benchmark for interaction with colleagues, customers, business partners, and other company stakeholders.

d&b solutions has been B Corp-certified since 2023. Certified B Corp companies look to create added value for society and the environment with their business model. To make progress measurable, an impact assessment is carried out on a regular basis. All kinds of business activities are put under the microscope: from labor rights and supplier relationships to mobility concepts.

White Light has established its operational environmental management system in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 14001 standard and is certified annually. Through the certification, all areas of environmental protection are continuously put to the test and improved.

Carbon Disclosure Project

White Light submitted the first report according to Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2023. CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. The world’s economy looks to CDP as the gold standard of environmental reporting.
